ISN works to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), their delivery systems, destabilizing advanced conventional weapons, and related technologies. Additionally, ISN protects and promotes U.S. technological leadership through export controls and expanding the peaceful uses of U.S. nuclear technology. Through implementation of U.S. policies, programs, and agreements, ISN actively shapes the international security environment and addresses malign proliferation challenges to strengthen U.S. leadership on the world stage.
